VARIOUS ARTISTS "BURN IT DOWN 2.0" BENEFIT MIX TAPE
This is a re-issue of the other "BURN IT DOWN" mixtape that I made 15 copies of to sell at the "NO THANKS: Art As A Form of Protest" art show that happened in November, 2023 at The Trunk Space. All the money from this mixtape goes towards unshelteredphx.
This mixtape is made up of protest music by mostly femmes+queers and more than half of the music features black and indigenous people. When I started working on this mix I quickly realized how important this particular niche/genre was and decided to reach out to some friends, musicians, DJ's and artists who's political and musical taste I admire for help.
In the end, I feel like this is a really good mix of protest music that hopefully motivates you to take action and do something about all the things that are causing us pain right now... Sometimes its best to just burn it down.
