TREASURE MAMMAL "Expect The Max" CD
The 2006 Treasure Mammal masterpiece has been out of print for years. But Abe got a hold of a box of some deadstock CD's from an old friend recently and hooked me up with some copies.
This is my favorite non-Related Records release from the band and I think easily top 3 best things Abelardo Gil has ever done.
Live drums from Corey Fogel (drummer for EMA, Julia Holter, Gowns...etc) back when he was just known as "the drummer for the Mae Shi" / Produced by Ryan Breen (who would go on to producer tracks for The Flaming Lips and Mates of State just to name-drop a few) and Mike Hissong (who would later go on to produce tracks for The Meat Puppets and Roar just to name-drop a few more) It could be argued this is the best sounding Treasure Mammal album of all time.
