Black and White sticker measuring 2.13"x2.75" that reads "I STRIVE TO BE MORE LIKE LUCY PARSONS MORE DANGEROUS THAN A THOUSAND RIOTERS"

Lucy Parsons is a very interesting historical figure and revolutionary of the late 1800's.

She "delighted in poking the eye of the establishment and disparaging American institutions like Congress, the president, the two party system" She was an anarchist, an activist, a community organizer, a business owner and a mother. She encouraged workers to stand up for their rights and better working conditions and recommended they "Learn the use of explosives!"

She spoke at the legendary Haymarket Square protest that led to an 8 hour work day.

She focused her activism on poverty, unemployment and human rights until the day she died in her 80s.

Her legacy is wild and complicated, but the main takeaway from her legacy to me is that she was an unrelenting agitator that terrified authorities. Including the Chicago city official who called her "more dangerous than a thousand rioters"
