This is a 1" button that reads "Not For Cissies." The text was taken from the benefit mix tape of the same name, you can read all about it here.


The statement "Not For Cissies" seemed like a fitting title for a mixtape of aggressive music made by queers. At the time of making this mix tape, there was a lot of talk about how cis-gendered people were feeling attacked by the use of the word "cis" to identify who they are. So the idea I had was to actually use the word cis as a form of bullying which led to the word "cissy" which I will still use from time to time when I'm amongst friends who will understand.
