The statement "A Monument to Man's Arrogance" is a reference to the King of The Hill episode where the Hill family goes to Sun City, Arizona to visit Hank's mom. It is there that Peggy says "This state is a monument to man's arrogance" which really stuck with me as someone who grew up in Arizona and has a love/hate relationship with the state.
